Rosemary Wells, better known for her “Max and Ruby” children’s books, will discuss her new history-based story, Lincoln and His Boys, prompted by a 200-word letter by Lincoln’s son, Willie, about a trip he took with his father.
To round out the panel, local history librarian, Carl White, will discuss the Gettysburg Address, Westchester historian Patrick Raferty talks about Lincoln’s military leadership, and Kate Kelly, author of Election Day: An American Holiday, An American History, covers the candidate and his presidential win.
For all you High School students out there working on a paper about Honest Abe – this panel is a can’t miss opportunity! And if you’re reading this and know any Civil War or Lincoln buffs, pass it along.
