Autistic children who punch themselves? Have seizures? Surely, that's not in the TV movie of the week. You tube has some extremely educational videos showing you the sides of autism not well known. Go to you tube and search under: autism self injury or autism seizures to find videos. Also another good video is "autism epidemic out of control" as in overdiagnosed..interesting points. Exposes what most psychiatrists haven't even noticed yet: the growing epidemic of factitious disorder and psychogenic autism among the mentally ill hoping to get out of crimes, etc....in hopes of grabbing the wide wide wide spectrum of being tossed into autism spectrum disorder. No doubt the shrinks won't be liked by many in law enforcement as we see more and more manipulative psychos use this autism aspergers excuse for things like shooting people at virgina tech (cho) or pretending to be autistic and lying to cnn about it (amanda baggs) or pretending to be autistic but really having aspergers or something else that he got some doc to diagnosis when he was 20 (ari neeman) or donna williams (the woman who really believes she's autistic but has MPD,) by her own admission in her book, nobody nowhere, which should be titled, no autism here. The proposed DSM 5 is going to embarass the psychiatric community if they lump everyone into the autism spectrum disorder. It shows intellectual laziness and basically presents as a group of professionals who because they have yet to concretely define autism, they just throw up their hands and say, what the hey, let's just make it a spectrum. Throw them all in it.

To all soldiers,

My Grandfather (whom I didn't get to meet), my Father, and my Father-in-law, were all in the Armed Services. According to the stories I've heard about these men, I can't even imagine what they went through. My Grandfather, in the Navy, probably served during Pearl Harbor, my Dad was a surgeon in a M.A.S.H. unit in Korea, and my Father-in-law served during the Cold War in the Navy. The service they performed was no less politically complicated, and dangerous than what you are going through now. I can't thank all of you men and women enough for what you endure on a daily basis just so I can vote in a tiny, town council election. I hope it doesn't escape the average American, the privileges we have here, and the things we may take for granted every day. It's all thanks to you...those that fight for us...for our freedoms...for our rights...Thank you and may God bless.
