It’s Black Friday and for many that means the start of serious Christmas/Hanukkah shopping. Walk into any retail establishment today and you will be met with sales, discounts, BOGO’s, give-backs, etc. galore. Too many to itemize. Suffice it to say if you DON’T find great prices today, you’re doing something wrong.
Because I’m a blogger, beholden to no one and a bit serendipitous, I’ll just mention a few deals that struck me as awesome or beneficial at this time of year.
Eastern Mountain Sports has put lots of North Face items (including the iconic Denali jacket) on sale, and has a nice EMS puffy insulated “Glacier” women’s jacket for just $49.99.
Choice Pet Supply is giving away a can of “Christmas Dinner” for your dog or cat for FREE – no purchase necessary, and offers a $5 photo op (profits to Adoption Rescue Me Project) of your pet with Santa.
Both A&P Fresh and Stop and Shop are offering a nice percentage off future purchases (A&P up to 25% through Dec. 17 , Stop and Shop up to 20% through Dec. 10th). Both have some nice BOGO’s this week, too.

Target is coming through for us with an $88 Nikon Cool Pix S203 and $97 Tom Tom GPS XL340S (reg. $250), and plenty of $10 stocking stuffers including 3-piece women’s pj sets, popular DVDs and Lexar 4GB SDHC cards.
Old Navy weighs in with their own doorbusters, including $5 fleece tops and graphic tee’s, $15 adult jeans, puffy jackets and sweaters and lots of other knock-downs.
Today is dreary and cold outside – a perfect time to head indoors to shop!
