There really is something about working out in a group setting that sets the juices flowing. At least that’s what it did for me, when I walked into the Fitness Edge on 1333 East Putnam Ave. in Greenwich. It’s been awhile since I’ve gone to an actual gym, with rows of machines and lots of sweaty people, but I’m pretty sure that those machines and people were not clad in pink before.
What’s the deal? Well, Fitness Edge is running a special “Breast Cancer Awareness” into rate as well as a donation of a dime a mile for every mile you log on pink CYBEX treadmills throughout October.
A VIP Membership – with 2 comp training sessions, 1 comp Pilates session, use of machines, shower amenities, towel service, sauna and exercise programs – generally entails a $99 start up fee (with monthly dues of $59.95 or $69.95 depending on the number of months purchased). This will be waived – ZERO – through October 31st (monthly dues still apply); just call Lisa at 637-3906. Also, if someone else in your family would like to join, their monthly membership fee is only $29.95.
