For decades, I’ve gone to the Mill on Pemberwick Rd. for one reason; gratifying meals at Centro Ristorante & Bar – for excellent food overlooking a raging dam waterfall. I’ve also tried the “Asian Tapas” place, Bambou, where my shushi cravings were satisfied for less than I’d spend at many other sushi restaurants.
But when I pulled into the upper lot of the old felt mill (which, as I recall from my childhood, turned the Byram river a different vivid color every week), there were groups of people heading to their cars, holding rolled-up Yoga mats. Hmmmm. Yoga on the now fresh and pure river?
Yep – Greenwich Yoga Holistic Center & Juice Bar Cafe – is one-stop shopping to work out the kinks in your mind, body and Karma. At Greenwich Yoga you can, of course, participate in a yoga class ($20 to drop in, $175 10-class card). But you can also schedule all types of massage, acupuncture, reflexology and other holistic offerings. In addition, GY serves fresh organic fruits and smoothies ($4-$10), as well as juice cleanses ($50 per day). And, if all that were not enough, Greenwich Yoga is pick-up point for a Natural Food Co-op.
For now, there are TWO Greenwich Yoga sites;
