With a Board of Directors that includes James Earl Jones, Christopher Plummer and Joanne Woodward, this is not your amateur regional theater, and in fact, I have vivid childhood memories of being introduced to the kiddie classics there, and doing the same for my own children.

October 24th promises to be an eye-opening day for those lucky enough to RESERVE FREE TICKETS at (203) 227-4177.

Workshops and events are broken up into Morning, Afternoon and Evening, running 10am – 10pm

Morning – 10:30am – 12:30pm – is geared, naturally, towards families and small children with storytelling, facepainting, backstage tours and books from the 2010 Family Festival Series.

Afternoon – 1pm – 4pm – events focus on teen activities with a Stage Combat workshop, tours of the theater, a chat with Tony Award winner Michael Yeargan, and a directing workshop with tick, tick, BOOM! director, Schott Schwartz – and much more.

Evening – 4pm – 9:30pm, for adults begins with a conversation with Artistic Director Mark Lamos about the 2010 season followed by a viewing of the Playhouse production of Thornton Wilder’s Our Town.
