Superintendent of Parks and Trees Bruce Spaman and Greenwich Historical Society Archivist Anne Young will discuss the historical [...]]]> The Greenwich Tree Conservancy and Greenwich Historical Society will host the second of its partnership series A Walk Through the Historic Parks of Greenwich: Byram Park on Sunday, April 25, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., rain or shine. Superintendent of Parks and Trees Bruce Spaman and Greenwich Historical Society Archivist Anne Young will discuss the historical aspects of Byram Park, the first park purchased by the Town of Greenwich for the enjoyment of its citizens in 1919. Learn how this local treasure – part quarry, part estate and all shorefront – became the valued recreation area it is today and enjoy it in full spring glory. The program requires easy to moderate walking, and comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Admission is free but donations to either organization are welcome.
